Médecin généraliste – Centre médico‑social de Touho

About the role

The province of Nord is seeking a qualified General Practitioner to ensure continuity of care at its medical‑social centre in Touho. Reporting to the Deputy Director of Health and Social Affairs, the doctor will provide curative and preventive services to the local community.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct curative medicine activities: consultations, emergency care, and tribal visits.
• Deliver preventive health services: school health, maternal‑child health (PMI), tuberculosis screening, occupational and sports medicine, health education, and public hygiene.
• Perform administrative duties: manage personnel and material resources, prepare reports, and oversee pharmacy operations.
• Monitor public health and social indicators.
• Develop external partnerships and support neighboring medical‑social centres when needed.
• Prepare an annual activity report.

Required profile

• Medical degree with mastery of general and emergency medicine (CAMU preferred).
• Knowledge of public health; additional expertise in gynecology‑obstetrics, pediatrics, cardiology, endocrinology, or infectiology is a plus.
• Valid driver’s licence (category B).
• Experience in isolated settings and familiarity with Oceanian populations is advantageous.
