Médecin généraliste – Centre médico‑social de Poindimié

About the role

The Province Nord is seeking a qualified physician to ensure continuity of care at the medical‑social centre in Poindimié. The role combines curative, preventive, and administrative responsibilities within a public health setting.

Key responsibilities

• Provide curative medicine: consultations, emergency care, and tribal visits.
• Deliver preventive services: school health, maternal‑child health (PMI), tuberculosis screening, occupational and sports medicine, health education, and public hygiene.
• Manage administrative duties: personnel and material resources, reporting, and health‑social monitoring.
• Maintain external partnerships and oversee the centre’s pharmacy.
• Participate in civil‑security training and support neighboring medical‑social centres when needed.
• Prepare an annual activity report and be available for on‑call duties.

Required profile

• Medical degree with mastery of general and emergency medicine (CAMU preferred).
• Knowledge of public health; additional expertise in gynecology‑obstetrics, pediatrics, cardiology, endocrinology, or infectiology is a plus.
• Driver’s licence category B.
• Experience in isolated posts, preferably with Oceanian populations.
