Médecin généraliste - Centre médico-social de Kaala-Gomen

About the role

The province of Nord seeks a qualified General Practitioner to ensure continuity of care at the Kaala‑Gomen medical‑social centre. Reporting to the Deputy Director of Health and Social Affairs, the physician will provide curative, preventive, and administrative health services.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver curative care including consultations, emergency treatment, and tribal visits.
• Implement preventive programs such as school health, maternal‑child health, tuberculosis screening, occupational and sports medicine, health education, and public hygiene.
• Manage administrative tasks: personnel and material resources, reporting, and health‑social monitoring.
• Develop external partnerships, oversee the centre’s pharmacy, and support civil‑security training activities.
• Provide reinforcement to neighboring medical‑social centres when needed and prepare an annual activity report.

Required profile

• Medical degree with mastery of general and emergency medicine (CAMU preferred).
• Knowledge of public health; additional expertise in gyne‑obstetrics, pediatrics, cardiology, endocrinology or infectiology is a plus.
• Valid category B driver’s licence.
• Experience in isolated settings and familiarity with Oceanian populations is advantageous.
