Human Resources Systems and Data Analyst / Officer

About the role

The Pacific Community (SPC) seeks a Human Resources Systems and Data Analyst / Officer to optimise its HR Information System (HRIS). The role focuses on automating manual workflows, improving data accuracy, and providing actionable insights through dashboards and predictive models.

Key responsibilities

• Develop HRIS tools for data analysis and visualisation.
• Design and maintain centralized HR dashboards in Power BI and automate regular reporting cycles.
• Create basic predictive models and "what‑if" scenarios to support workforce planning.
• Define audit access permissions to protect sensitive personal data.
• Build Excel macros and other automation tools for payment and salary calculations.
• Conduct workshops and produce documentation to help HR teams use data visualisations effectively.
• Automate recurring paperwork‑intensive processes such as overtime, leave, remote work requests, OHS, and training records.
• Configure automatic system notifications for staff tasks (e.g., address updates, off‑boarding surveys).
• Provide backup support to the HR Officer – Remuneration & Systems Support.
• Manage system upgrades, patches, and integrations with third‑party vendors.

Required profile

• Experience with HRIS administration and data analysis.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to design automated solutions.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with HR and IT teams.

Required skills

• Power BI for dashboard creation.
• Microsoft Excel, including macro development.
• HRIS configuration and data management.
• Basic predictive modelling techniques.
• Automation of workflow processes.
